1929 Model A
(VIN A1903866)
This 1929 Model A coupe joined the Lillie Collection in 2016. It is an outstanding
driver and prize-winning show car. The black paint with French gray
pinstripe is flawless and the body is straight and clean. The
previous owner had the engine rebuilt by Antique Engine Rebuilding
in Skokie, Illinois. It has a new counterweighted crankshaft, new
performance cam, new rods, insert bearings, one-piece valve guides
with modern valves, oversize intake valves, modern pistons, high
compression head and lightened flywheel with V8 clutch. It has a
rebuild transmission and rebuilt front end. I'm not sure of the HP
(maybe 50?), but the car moves much, much better than a basic Model
A. It is outfitted with LED tail lamps, a LED third brake light
with turn signal, remote turn signal system with switch on shift
lever. It has firestone tires that are virtually brand new. The
car has the desirable full trunk. It was sold in 2018 to Mark Hyman
of St. Louis.
